The Creative Community Program teaches employment, business, and mentoring skills to women in Tanzania. It provides local Maasai women living near Arusha with the skills to help them become financially independent.

Training and employment opportunities are provided in a fun, cooperative environment. By learning to sew and make distinctive hand-made products for sale, the women earn an income and can help provide for their families. A part of the profits goes directly to supporting the Sion Center Orphanage girls and becoming an autonomous organization.

Not only does this business model make for sustainability, but we are also empowering women to mentor young girls while providing them employment. We foster relationships between the women and girls as mentoring reinforces the strong role women can have in Tanzania and the world.
