Impact the lives of the girls and women we support while experiencing Tanzania’s beauty through our Volunteer and Travel Program. We have partnered with Heart of Africa Safari Tours to give you a personalized safari adventure, with 20% of your tour’s proceeds going back to the Foundation. You will meet our girls and women, tour the Sion Centre, the Sion Center Orphanage, and volunteer for any of our current projects.
Experience spectacular Tanzania, its culture, abundant wildlife, and history while also supporting our programs and the local community.
We are always looking for volunteers back home in the U.S. to help with fundraising, events, or special projects. If you have the desire to help, we have a position for you. Email us to find out more about our current volunteer opportunities.
The Heart of Africa Foundation is located in the Kisongo area outside of the city of Arusha in northern Tanzania. Arusha is situated at Mount Meru’s base and is a gateway to safari destinations and to Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, the remarkable Serengeti and Tarangire National Parks, and Ngorongoro Conservation Crater. It enjoys a pleasant year-round climate and is home to diverse wildlife such as rhinoceros, lions, giraffes, leopards, zebras, and the annual wildebeest migration. Visit the Tanzania Tourist Board for more information.
Whether you travel with us or volunteer from home, your impact on the lives of our girls and women is priceless.
